I need a list of over the counter medicines not to be taken if positive for hepititis c. Please help?

I know to avoid alcohol and vitamens containing iron but so much of the over the counter meds have writing just too small to be read. Im feeling tired all the time and feel in need of a good herbal or vitamen regimen.

I do not remember very well the web address but feel free to do a search on Yahoo or Google for Dr. Clark who is a Canadian living in Mexico.
Reply:I would not suggest any OTC medications. Here's why your liver metabolizes medications in your body. Depending on your liver functioning any meds could be harmful or even lethal. You need to consult your doctor and let him/her tell you what you can and cannot take based on your liver function tests.

:D
Reply:Our entire family had Hepititis A in the late 1980's. We were told not to take ANY meds, even tylenol or vitamins, as anything we took would go to the liver and do more damage.

I can't swear that the same is true for Hepititis C, but would assume so, since the liver is still involved. If you can't find out from a pharmacist or MD, I'll bet it's on the internet. I wish you well.
