or does anyone have any suggestions on a camorder with LanC.
Is there a place where I can find a list of camcorders with Lan-c connector built in?
LAN-C is a Sony protocol. There was another one developed that was partially compatible, but I forget what it is. Start with Sony Camcorders.
I am assuming that you have a LANc capable VCR, or a high-end (for its time) video capture card that uses this as a control format. Way out of date, you can now do the same thing with just about any DV camcorder via USB or Firewire. There are even adapters that take USB / Firewire datastream and convert it to analog for display onto TVs, and record to VCRs (or even beta decks!).
Oh, now I remember. The other protocol was Control-L, which was almost 100% compatible with LANC. So, add that to your search. Only Sony products and other manufacturer's licensed products used LANC, other compatible devices were known as Control-L.
Good Luck.
Reply:Canon also make camcorders with a LANC interface. There's a list at the link, but I've no idea how current it is.
